Your parish should have recieved a DVD called “Listening to the experiences of gay men and women within the Church”. This DVD and its accompanying booklet were produced at the prompting of Archbishop Sentamu as a response to the commitment in the 1998 Lambeth Conference resolution 1.10: ‘To listen to the experience of homosexual persons’.

The DVD is intended to be used as part of a prayerful listening process, and encourage us to listen to the experiences of gay people within the church. In conjunction with this, the booklet is intended to help us understand the witness of Scripture and the tradition of interpretation and reflection on the issues, and to prayerfully engage our reason as we respond.
