
Presenter and singer Aled Jones was in East Hull on Monday 27th July filming for BBC Songs of Praise. He met the Revd Alison Gilchrist, chaplain to Hull Kingston Rovers and the first female chaplain in the Rugby League.
The show, to be broadcast on Sunday 23rd August, will focus on sport. Aled and the crew filmed Alison at Craven Park, as the Robins first team were put through their paces at a training session. They also filmed at St Hilda's Church Community, where Alison is Mission Support Team leader.
In the interview that will be included in the broadcast, Aled and Alison talked about life and faith in East Hull, about her role as the club chaplain and the challenges for the Church today.
