Education and Training for Discipleship and Ministry

The NETWORK FOR MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT (NMD) is the people and programmes looking after a wide variety of educational and formational needs for the Diocese of York. We try to do this where we can with our colleagues in the York & Hull District of the Methodist Church. Click here for a fuller Introduction to the NMD.
Included in the introduction is also a range of information about Methodist resources and people, about the York Institute for Community Theology, and about CLAY: Christian Learning Across Yorkshire – an ecumenical programme of educational opportunities

By clicking on the headings below you can find information about:

Equipping God's People - courses designed to give lay people skills and confidence in ministry. Newly updated.

Shared Ministry - a course designed to help Parishes/Benefices or even Deaneries move towards appropriate and local forms of shared ministry
