CME 1-4 is a programme of continuing education and training for clergy in the first four years of ministry. It is organised in two parts: events that take place in the Archdeaconries and those which take place on a Diocesan basis.
The main continuing education and training for curates, of course, takes place in the work they do in their first parish and a part of the CME 1-4 programme exists to support that.
There are a number of resources available on this site which give information about the Diocesan programme, including dates and times; about mentoring; and about the Training Skills Portfolio. The contents of the CME 1-4 Handbook are available below.
As a result of the Hind Report and through the developing Regional Training Partnerships (RTPs) CME 1-4 (or IME 4-7, as it will become known) will undergo further revision during the course of 2007. This will mainly affect those ordained in 2008 onwards. For more information contact one of the CME 1-4 Tutors (see the
People section for details).
