Holy Trinity Church

The tiny churchyard of Holy Trinity is one of the most serene locations in the city. After pausing here for a while we make our way into the church through a small, low vestibule.

Holy Trinity dates from the first half of the twelfth century, with thirteenth and fourteenth century additions.

The stained glass over the alter was a gift of Rector John Walker and is a particularly rare example of York

glass from the late Perpendicular period (1470-1489.)

Also above the alter are boards displaying the Lord's Prayer and Exodus X in gold lettering.
